Dear Colleagues,

Following are the main points discussed in today's meeting (Tuesday, 30th May 2006):

Test Coordinator : Pierre

Equipment Support : Guy

Total complete magnet tests : 14

Dipoles : 10

ARC-SSS : 2

IR-SSS : 2 (600 series)

. Magnet MBBR2255 already tested on bench C1, was put again on E1 bench by mistake.

. On TBD1, quench during SSW. L. Walckiers adviced to complete the remaining measurements at nominal current.

. Lionel adviced for TBF1 that the magnet is to be warmed up as early as possible to correct the helium leak.

. Giorgio will contact the respective manufacturers for the display panel refresh problems.

. L. Walckiers adviced to give the highest priority for removal of magnets once tests finish.

. Siemko told that the ICS needs the benches in proper conditions after finishing the tests of magnets, specially for Rocla movements etc. So care to be taken for avoiding cable damage etc. ICS should contact the respective shift leader and inform it.

. On TBB1, lyre test was carried at 15V, 1 A instead of 2A, due to higher magnet resistance values. A list can be provided for such magnets with more R values.

. Siemko told that PT147 reading is most precise at 1.9K and not at 4K, so PT148 value can be referred at 4K.

. Guy adviced regarding SSW that the tests should not be cancelled once launched till they finish, as the wire can come to proper home position when test completes. Also the wire position in aperatures to be checked before every test.

. On TBA1, MM3 could not be launched from TEMA as the configuration files needed modifications and cleaning cycles to be launched by Richard.

. Eric informed that rebooting of computers at Prevessin site needed to solve the Video display stucking problems in control room.

. Marco will forward a list of 500 series magnets, for which it is not necessary to reach ultimate current in corrector powering.

. Eric said that for 500 series, test templates of normal ARC-sss to be used. But the other configuration details of 500 and 600 series magnets must be taken from a new list made by Giorgio.

. Vinod Chohan adviced op-team to be careful in doing tests, updating and uploading files, and in general, all MTM related work.

This is all (well, almost) about the week.

With warm regards,

Charudatta P. Kulkarni...
