Dear All,

Here r the points discussed in today's Tuesday meeting.

1.Magnets tested this week : 9 Dipoles and 7 SSS (one with thermal cycle).

2.Polarity switch problem on E2 : Sat last week there was a problem with polarity switch and eq. support has to be called in as the verticle iron bar which should fall to lock position was not falling even when the polarity switch was in right position. As per Gorgio, this could be due to faulty operation in previous polarity change. So it is advised not to put too much twist on polarity inverter while changing the polarity.

I suggested to put marks indicating the right position of polarity switch where the vertical iron bar should fall to lock position on each bench so that operation staff is aware of right position and need not hunt for the same.

This was to avoid the ambiguity in right position for polarity indicating pointer. This was accepted and soon we can see this mark on all the benches.

3.Wrong voltage tap connection on SSS155 was discussed. It was stressed that OP team should look carefully for such problems before cooling the magnet.OP team stressed that it is not possible for us to arrest this type of problem by way of existing test procedure.Gorgio said he will see, if "IAP at WARM" can be modified to arrest this type of problem.

4.There was a problem pertaining to PLCSE on TBD1.Shortening of pins because of metallic pieces was diagnosed to be the cause of problem.Richard has put protection caps on all these connectors to prevent the recurrence of this problem.

5.Problem of SLOW PA on TBD :If there happenes a SLOW PA while powering a magnet, pl. note down the time of SLOW PA in shift log, as it will help CRYO to fix the problem

6.F2 should be free by Monday evening for silver shoe repair.

7.If diode is not conforming to laid down specifications(Diode resistances etc.), a NC should be generated for the same.As per P.Pugnat if magnet is otherwise OK for rest of the test sequence, it can be signed for stripping.

Cheers,
