Dear Colleagues,

Following are the main points discussed in today's meeting (Tuesday, 20th June 2006):

Test Coordinator : Gijs

Equipment Support :

Total complete magnet tests : 11

Dipoles : 08

ARC-SSS : 01 ( 038 Repeat )

IR-SSS : 01 (500 series)

: 01 (600 series)

General discussions on Nick's presentation :

1) It was informed by Nick that relatively less number of magnets could be tested because of repair work (B1), special tests and change of C bench.

2) Bench configuration has been changed to 6 dipoles + 2 Arc SSS + 4 S4 now.

3) The magnet 619 took very long time of connection therefore it occupied the bench for very long time.

4) Stephan will do the special test along with Gee on D2. Though OP team is not directly involved with it, the shift leader will be informed.

Discussions on Stephane’s presentation

1) Nicholas will carry out a test on F2 if it is possible to connect it before Wednesday.

2) Any type of quench of any value equal to or more than 6.5 kA is required before conducting maganetic measurement to remove the magnetic hysterisis.

3) Georgeo reiterated the use of yellow cable for cluster B and D to avoid NC due to TT821.

4) The non-detection of three quench in AQA on SSS532(TBD2) was was discussed and the reason for one was attributed to cryo problem. Detail investigation is going on for the other two quenches.

5) Georgeo reiterated that the Keithly power supply mounted on the SSS jackie trolly must be used for powering the correctors( GH, IJ, KL, MN). The power supply is set at appropriate value(20mA,20V) for this as default.

6) Correct resistance of TT821 is automatically computed if correct template provided by Georgeo is used for special SSS.

With warm regards,

Sheshnath Singh
