Minutes of Tuesday meeting: held on 16th Jan 2007

Test Coordinator for this week: Nick; Next week: Arjan

Number of magnets completed: 4 (+2) (2 dipoles, 1 Arc SSS, 0 5XX series & 1 6xx series) out of which 1 was signed for stripping & others standby. Two magnets are waiting for removal.

The salient points of discussion were follows:

Nick presented the status e-traveller at the end of last year and there were only two magnets for Operation team to start, others are in the hand of either with ICS or Rocla.

Halic informed delay in the removal of magnets is due to limited manpower available for connection, disconnection and to transfer the magnet. There is also no clear cut instructions to the different team to work under him.

Nick described the New Shift plan (working hrs) of Op-team, Cryo, ICS & Experts and explained the problem and there solution provided during this week.

This year operation team will work in two shifts, working form 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. He suggested the new “Shift to do list” to smooth shift transfers in present conditions.

Cryo presently working with 4 people (3 in shift+ 1 on normal office hrs) due to some personal problem effectively one person is available in the shift. To satisfy the two person rule per shift, one person from operation team is joining them at 6:00 am. He stressed that problem may even enhance after 1 Feb as cryo will only work in normal duty hrs.

He also presented the new list of contact number of different teams with their availability period. This list is also available in the control room.

Nick explained about new white board in the control room for evening shift to pass on the instruction to morning shift. This board will help morning shift to pass the instruction to ICS for bench priority and they can also view the status of bench at the end of night shift.

Nick presented the list of dipole and SSS to remaining to be tested.

Nick informed that Control Room was locked during the vacation and there is no theft incidence during this period. Now again control room door can be open with pressing codes.

Stephen informed that SSS361, SSS530 and 2326 will have magnetic measurement and he will inform the detail measurement program.

361 may come on B1 by Thursday will have standard MM and SSW program.

2326 will come on A2 with short MM program

This all for this week, Have a nice week
