Dear Colleagues,

Following are the minutes of the Tuesday meeting held on 15th Aug., 2006:

à 15 magnet tests completed this week.

Test Co-ordinator: Marta Bajko. Equipment Support: 16-3602 G. D’Angelo

1. Water interruption problem was solved and testing resumed.

2. The problem of AC connection interchange on bench F2 was solved by EQ support.

3. The WP27 report generated for magnet s618 got incorrectly uploaded into MTF folder of s651 magnet as s651 was scanned before launching WP27 test. Problem was solved by uploading the file into the s618 magnet folder by Georgio.

4. The problem of E-traveller, which displayed only three benches (F1, F2, E2) was generated due to entering wrong magnet by ICS, which blocked it. Problem solved by J. Axensalva.

5. The problem of QH Error and warning for magnet S4-648 during third training was solved by Georgio, according to whom, the problem was due to larger value of fourth QH of magnet at cold and warm.

6. HWREC was not accessing MTF data: Georgio contacted Oracle DB support and Netops and fixed the problem.

7. Magnet MBAL2281 failed most of it’s HV tests at cold repeatedly. The problem was due to He capillary leak in IFX box of the magnet, which is looked into by Georgio.

8. WP04 file could not be uploaded for magnet MBBR1368 due to problem in MTF-Active link which pointed to incorrect MTF page. Hence advised to use SMTMS->Easy MTF link.

9. There is shortage of HV racks as only two racks are operational. Georgio suggested using ICS mobile rack for HV tests.

10. A. Siemko advised to perform extended tests without quenches on magnet MBAR2274.

11. SSS318 will be the new magnet on which special tests will be conducted next week. According to A. Siemko, alignment of this magnet should be done by MTM mechanic and all tests should be performed on this magnet within a week.

12. It was advised by Nick that training quench should be carried out instead of provoked quench after two trainings for quadrupole magnets.

Main problems in last week:

1. Water supply problem: No cold test could be done.

2. E-Traveller problem: It displayed only three benches (F1,F2 and E2). Hence no signatures could be done for other benches.

3. HWREC problem: HWREC could not access MTF data..

4. HV test failure: Magnet MBAL2281 failed most cold HV tests again.

5. Cryo phase-out problem: No power tests could be performed due to failure of cold helium compressor.

6. MTF Active link problem: The MTF-Active link in sm18op operation page lead to incorrect MTF page. Hence there was a problem for uploading the magnet data

Enjoy a good week ahead.

With Best Regards
