Dear Colleagues,

Following are the main points discussed in today's meeting (Tuesday, 06th June 2006):

Test Coordinator : Pierre

Equipment Support : Guy

Total complete magnet tests : 18

Dipoles : 11

ARC-SSS : 02

IR-SSS : 01 (500 series)

: 02 (600 series)

Repeate : 02

1- Nick pointed out that magnet on D2 and B2 bench not removed for the whole weekend although test were finished on 2nd and 3rd June.

2- Magnet 2284 repeated for Cryo reason only. Magnet 1353 finally signed for stripping after ROBTC so it was a good decision.

3- Magnet SSS647 took long time for testing as usual reason for connection & powering +SSW. Magnet SSS677 had special tests at cold for beam loss etc.

4- Nick also pointed out some problems related to OP team due to many visitors coming to SM18 without information to control room. Similarly some special tests were going on without proper information to control room so it was decided that responsible person for visit or special test should inform control room regarding their visit and special test.

5- For special SSS, normally irrelevant alarms of AQA and MIITS are ignored in consultation with TC. OP team suggested to remove such irrelevant alarms.

6- HV test panel for B cluster does not open in control room. OP team has observed that it is not due to network traffic problem however, it may be due to UDP packet loss. AB/CO with Equipment support will take up and solve the problem.

7. Mobic does not get connected to network at benches. This is observed in spite of it being fully charged and with proper wireless network connectivity at control room. Giorgio agreed to look into the problem.

8. At Cluster-D, there is always a problem with temperature sensor during testing of S4 and this is related to mounting and connection of temperature sensor. Giorgio suggested that first OP team should try with standard cable and if the signal is not observed properly, then use yellow cable. If possible, Giorgio will try to get the list of magnets with specified cable from 904.

This is all about the week.

With warm regards,

Sushil Bahuguna
