Dear Colleagues,

Following are the main points discussed in the meeting at sm-18 conference room on 4th April, 2006 at 8:30a.m.

Total number of magnets: 16

Dipoles : 7

Arc-SSS : 6

IR-SSS : 3 (652,655,657)

were tested in the week from 27th march, 2006 to 3rd April, 2006.

Test coordinator: Mr. Marco

Equipment Support: Mr. Guy

General

On bench D1, SSS620 was laying there for last week but mechanics did not disconnect.

This is first time the corrector measurement was carried out for the dipole magnet MBAR2251 on bench A1 and it was a success.

Mr. V. Chohan mentioned that the repeat rate for dipoles is 21% which is fairly high and for ARC SSS repeat rate is 8% for the month of March-2006.

Mr L.Walckiers presented statistics showing the following table:-

As per the analysis the test rate should be increased by 10% to meet the target for termination of test on 20-12-2006. He also emphasized that quality of the test shall be increased to lower the repeat rate. He also agreed the bottle necks are not in operation but whether in connection, disconnection and transport.

Mr L.Walckiers told that the special SSS has got many different type and also different connection procedure and there is not any readily available document.

Specifics:

It was discussed that special adapter is required for SSS506 (Q9type) and for 3 more 500 series magnets, for measurement of correctors.

SSS327 at bench B1, during IAP at warm there was problem of Potaim card.

SSS655 at bench D2: quench heater discharge time was longer.

IFS box (continuity link): 2R QH connector on P10 is like ARC SSS.

SSS620 at bench D1: temperature sensor was not connected.

Temperature sensor probe on TBB1 was not working.

TBB2: SSS327: problem of LF DAQ. One vi was deleted by mistake and it is now restored and problem of LFDAQ was solved.

TBC1: SSS222: P25 connector was cut by ROCLA.

TBA1: during cross-talk measurement, probe was inserted unknowingly by mistake and the magnet quenched. But it was assured that there was no damage of detection system. Hence it is advised to inform control room explicitly, before carrying out any special measurements/tests.

MB2311 at bench F1:- MIITs exceeded the limit for the warming up quench. The value was not good one. The manual MIIT was ok. So Mr. Giorgio asked Mr. Boris to change and improve the AQA and to put a mark on Automatic AQA -MIITs calculation.

Special SSS:

About the OLD table for the special SSS prepared July-2005 Mr. Eric explained how the table was prepared and the different sources of data (i.e. Currents values, IFS info etc.) these were prepared by Mr. J. Jacob during December-05 shut down. Now it has been revised by Mr. Giorgio and & equipment support. The revised table contains rectified info, new info.

Mr. Eric mentioned the Interface table (e.g. IR-SSS (S4) list (3)) to be followed by the operator and that table was shown during meeting.

WP-17 pages sometime missing from paper traveler from file 904. So it was requested to put the pages on file 904 well in advance for signing in time.

Mr Eric mentioned that removing of Special SSS from bench during weekend take longer time. And there is problem of ROCLA during week end also.

It was informed that the some SSS connection and disconnection requires special people and as experts are not available during weekend is can not be removed from the bench.

Thanks to all for great cooperation.

Best regards.
