Dear Colleagues, Following are the main point discussed in today’s meeting (Tuesday, 2nd May 2006): Test Coordinator : Marco Equipment Support : Maryline Total complete magnet tests : 14 Dipoles : 8 ARC-SSS : 5 (182 repeated) IR-SSS : 1 (500 series) 0 (600 series) Nick raised the following points in the meeting: - Problem of internal parameter on cluster C . Giorgio informed that it was power supply problem. Guy is looking for the same. - Scaning problem on Magnet 2238 label is wrong. NC is generated for the same. - Magnet SSS 182 is bad magnet. - During testing on the magnet on the bench F2 cryo leak has occurred. The cryo team will solve that problem. Magnet is warming up. - Due to leak problem on the bench D1 magnet has taken long time. Also ROCLA accident has stopped the movement of the magnet. - On cluster C dipole magnet has put for the testing. Till the time no dipole magnet testing is completed because of internal parameter problems i.e. internal power converter problem. - There will be no magnetic measurement on Magnet 635. - D2 powering problem was there. It is solved. - J Harik informed that 5 SSS type magnets are waiting for testing. Stefane raised the following points in the meeting: - On E1 & E2 bench magnet there was temperature sensor reading problem. So NC is generated for the same. - On bench A1 due to ROCLA accident Magnet 2252 was failed to test due to arm broken. - On bench D1 in magnet SSS 636 cryo leak problem . It is solved. - On B2 magnet SSS 234 Perp. 2.2 data didn’t saved. - On B1 magnet SSS 182 HF DAQ was not armed while conducting PT 5.3. It was due to inductance problem. Maryline has changed the value of inductance. - Giorgio suggested that it is problem of instability on standby mode. - On E2 magnet 2236 during PT8 quench occurred. Marco suggested to repeat the test. Second time it was successful. - On A2 bench because of safety reasons (due to ROCLA accident) work was stopped and magnet was put on standby till Saturday. - During PT6.3 on magnet on B1, Magnet record on B1 disappeared. Maryline was contacted. She informed to put off HWREC and restart enter the magnet names of B1 and B2. Giorgio suggested that it is the problem of accessing data base to TEMA. - On B1 SSS 182 PLCSE communication lost during training. The problem was solved by resetting the PLCSE. - On A1 bench new magnet was not installed due to bellow & line are missing during ROCLA accident. TC asked ICS to correct it and put the magnet till Sunday. Cryo OK lost for 4 benches at 1.9 K (A2, B2, C1, E1) cryo team is investigating that problem. - On bench B2 because of Fast Stop Button pushed, corrector powering problem was occurred. Nick suggested that the calibration team has forgotten to release it after calibration. - On C1 bench HV on magnet 2180 failed. After changing the rack the HV was successful. Hence some times MY92 rack gives the problem. Guy suggested that he will investigate that problem if it occurs again. With warm regards, Nilesh Dalal.
